Loveseats vary more than any other sofa size, from a compact 57 inch frame to a wide 73 inch two-seater. The table below tells you which size to select once you have your width.

How to measure

Width. Measure across the outside of both arms at the widest point. Most loveseats land between 57 and 73 inches.

Depth. Measure from the front of the seat to the back of the backrest.

Check the arms. Wide rolled arms can push a 60 inch loveseat past 70 inches of total width.
A note on units. Measure your furniture in inches, then use the table above to find the size to select. Our size selector shows centimetres, because that is how covers are manufactured, so the table gives you both.
Common measuring mistakes
- Using the manufacturer's stated width. Published figures often exclude the arms.
- Assuming a loveseat is always two cushions. Some are a single bench seat, which suits a one-piece cover better.
- Measuring across the back at floor level rather than at the widest point.
Loveseat, two-seater or small sofa
These names describe the same piece of furniture. What matters is the measurement, not the label. If your frame measures more than 73 inches across, select the three-seat size instead.
Reclining loveseats
A reclining loveseat needs a cover made for recliners: the backrest and footrest move independently, and a fixed cover will pull loose the first time the seat is reclined.

My loveseat measures 74 inches. Which size?
Select the three-seat size. Stretch fabric takes up the slack, whereas the two-seat size would pull at the arms.
Does a loveseat cover fit a chaise?
No. A chaise is longer and open at one end. Use a chaise longue cover.
Will one cover fit both my sofa and my loveseat?
No. Buy the size that matches each frame. Many customers buy both in the same fabric so the room stays consistent.
